My site is already listed but I want to change the description update contact information, what do I do?
Register as a member and choose a username so you will be able to access editing functions.
Send an email to info@theprescottdirectory.com with an email address originating from your domain (yourname@yoursite.com) or the email address listed on your site's contact page.
Please provide the following information in your email:
Site Title
Site URL
URL of page your Site appears in the directory.
Your Username
On receipt of your email, an editor will assign ownership of the listing to you. This will allow you to edit the listing or upgrade it to a category sponsor.
Why isn't the screenshot of my site appearing?
The screenshots used in the directory are retrieved from the Alexa search engine. If your site has not been indexed by Alexa at the time you submit to us, a graphic stating "Picture coming soon" will appear.
At the time your link is approved, we send a request to Alexa to index your site and update its screenshot. Alexa states that this will be done within 48 hours, but in our experience it usually takes about a week for the new screenshot to appear.
Why is the wrong screenshot of my site appearing?
Alexa may have taken a screenshot of an older version of your site or may be displaying the screenshot for the top level domain. Click the "Update Screenshot" link under the image in your listing to have Alexa update its information.
You will be taken to a page stating the the screenshot will be updated with 48 hours. However, in our experience it usually takes closer to a week for a new screenshot to appear. |
