FAQ - Link Submissions
Submission Guidelines
Please respect the following guidelines:
1. Submit the Top-level page only... www.yourdomain.com
2. Submit ONCE to the category most appropriate for your site. You may specifify a secondary category (second option on the submission form) if you feel your link may belong in more than one place in the directory.
3. Do not submit the URL in title field. Please refrain from using ALL CAPS in the Title and Description fields. Create a readable description not a list of keywords.
4. Do not submit sites with excessive popup or popunder windows, sites that redirect or mirror other sites, or sites that promote affiliate programs, MLM, or get rich quick schemes.
5. Only submit completed sites, not those "Under Construction." Ensure that your URL is available for review and that you have placed our reciprocal link on your page (if applicable).
Choosing A Link Type
The Prescott Directory offers several levels of advertising for your website or business. Links are broken down into three main categories:
Category sponsor: Displayed full length across the top of the page. Listing includes Site Title, URL, Address, Phone, and extended description. You may also offer a flyer, brochure, or menu for your business in PDF format for visitors to download.
Paid & Reciprocal Listings: These two types are displayed exactly the same way and only differ in whether a submission fee or reciprocal link is provided as payment for inclusion to the directory. These links display in two columns across the middle of the page and include Site Title, URL, Address, Phone, and brief description.
Simple (Yellow Page Listings) are displayed at the bottom of the page in four columns and include Business Name, Address, and Phone Number.
Fee Structure
Simple (Yellow Pages) Links - Always FREE
Regular Links - $15 one time submission fee. This fee is waived if you provide a reciprocal link from your website to The Prescott Directory.
Category Sponsor - $10 per 30 days of sponsorship.
We also offer a special bulk submission membership for web designers and design firms. The cost is $60 per year and allows unlimited submissions. All submissions that are accepted for inclusion remain in the directory beyond the subscription period. For information contact us at info@theprescottdirectory.com
Placing A Reciprocal Link to Us
In order to qualify for a free regular listing you must place a reciprocal link
from your site to The Prescott Directory. The link must be on a page indexable
by search engines.
